Holler at your Boy?

Yes my friends, it's that time again; let the Project Runway one-man discussion commence.

As I stated last week, I was going to pick my favorite designer as of thus far, from what I saw on tonight's show. I'm glad to announce that Keith (that adorable, little, Utah boy) has filled the position.

I was extremely worried about him, though, because although his photo and his idea were both genius, his design didn't quite dazzle the judges; it wasn't wonderful. So why pick him, you ask. Two reasons.

One, while he was with his group, snapping inspiration photos, Stella and, I think Kenley, were kinda "having a little chat" about him behind his back. He noticed this, however, he didn't let it get to him and he just ignored it; he kept doing what he had to do, and I thought that was pretty big of him (like his arms, ugh!).

Second, his model had to drop out of the competition at the very last moment, and rather than completely flip out and fall apart, as many people would (probably for the attention alone), he took it in, thought it over, and "made it work" anyway.

So I liked that, you can't just base your decision on the designers performance alone, you need to take in all the aspects of who they are and how they handle themselves to make a fair decision.

Anyway, someone had to go, and so in the end the judges decided to "auf Wiedersehen" Emily, and her crazy ruffle dress (which I personally didn't think was terrible).

Finally, an explanation of my title; it was the highlight of the show. Blayne decided to use a less formal term when saying good bye to Tim as he left. Yes, he said "Holla at ya boii!" Tim looked completely puzzled, like totally clueless; "Holler at your boy?" I found it rather amusing.

Definitely looking forward to next week and seeing what genius ideas my Keith can arrive at. Plus looks like some drama goes down, and that's always fun for us, the audience.

Friends..

..are pretty amazing; especially mine.

Just thought I'd run that by everyone.

Darn Those Tardy Butterflies!

Alright, so I know you're all probably hanging off the edge of your seat about my road test since I mentioned it on my first post but never acknowledged it during my Runway obsessing.

I didn't pass...or fail

Oh! An explanation? Well, what happened was I didn't even reach the test site because two minutes into the drive my Dad's front tire decided to exhale; yes that's right, a flat...A FLAT!

Here's the best part, ready? Right after I realized how f**ked I was, a butterfly lands on my arm. This is ironic because, for those of you who don't know, when a butterfly lands on you, it signifies good luck, at least in the case of superstitious folk, a group to which I belong.

Thankfully, being optimistic alongside superstitious, I found the entire situation pretty amusing. On the bright side, I now have time to practice a bit more and be extra prepared for the next a**hole who tests me.

Don't you just love this crazy, mixed-up world? Well, I do.

auf Wiedersehen

Yes, I watch Project Runway. I only started last season and my excitement for the 5th season has increased tenfold because most of the designers are amazing, they all have great attitudes, and no one is screaming "Fierce/Tranny/Hot Mess!" Ugh, I hated him.

Alas, I fell in love too soon. Wesley, Wesley, Wesley...why? Seriously, this guy was amazing and it shows how shallow I am that I wanted him to win because he was adorable, even though his dress was completely hideous (which is why Heidi bade him her now-cliche German farewell). Even Natalie Portman (the guest judge), who could say nothing bad about anyone's dress, admitted it sucked.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to find a new fav. I think I'm leaning towards Keith, he made the best cocktail dress in my opinion (plus, he's a cutie). I like Stella, too; she's a bit strange, but she has very bold ideas and a very smart, driven (stubborn?) attitude.

I figure I'll have my new pick next week. With my luck, he/she will be "auf Wiedersehen"ed right after I decide they're the one...Damn you, Heidi!

Goodbye Wesley, I'm sure we'll see great things from you. ::tear::

Stay tuned, people; this is gonna be good!

How You Say...Blog?

First things first; I don't know what I'm doing and I'm not looking for anyone's approval. I was bored so I tried this. You wanna read? Great! You don't? Fine. Just leave the drama at the door.

So I'm not in the most energetic mood of my existence since I was woken up by a vibration in bed...my phone. Turns out it was the last person I'd expect to be waking ME up since it's usually the other way around. Wow, now I really feel lazy; Destiny, the girl who sleeps 'til 3pm is waking ME up...Yikes.

We planned to get together today and watch Superbad since I've never seen it (yeah, ik), and also to go buy a pair of running shoes because apparently my lazy friend who wouldn't normally dream of walking even a mile wants to start running. What is happening to the world?

Later I need to perfect my exquisite driving skills (ha!) since my road test is tomorrow and I'd rather not f**k it up...again.

Lastly I'd like to invite everyone to better their lives a bit and listen to a band called Sigur Ros because they have changed my life with their indescribably amazing music.

I'll check back in later,
